Five minutes before game time, digits 0–9 are randomly assigned to each row and column. This determines which square corresponds to which score combination. Nobody — including us — knows the assignments until the draw happens.
As the game plays out, the last digit of each team's score determines the winning square at the end of each period.

If the same square wins two consecutive periods — like Q1 and Q2 — the jackpot is triggered. The jackpot grows from house square winnings and pays out big.
Any squares not claimed by game time become house squares. If a house square wins, those sats go into the jackpot pool — making it grow faster for everyone.
